"SHEEP FOR RAISING"

After the project named "Srebrenica, children of Bosnia",   Sadake plans its next big project:

"SHEEP FOR RAISING"

In spring 2004, we plan to buy a certain number of sheep and donate them to Bosnian muslims in need, so that we can help them and motivate them to work and earn money. Read more

Mufid, Haris and Muris

Near Foca, more precisely about 15 km before Foca, there is a village called Mravinjac on both sides of the river Drina. This small village would not draw much attention if it weren’t for the sorrow that has overcome this village. It has become even more difficult in the last one month. The family Malicevic that once had five family members has been left with only three members since August this year. Three children, Haris, Mufid and Muris have lost their parents.      more

The Matinjanin Family

Arif Matinjanin, Sayda Matinjanin and their sister Rasema Matinjanin have returned to Kolibe Gornje. They had lived and worked here before the war. The sisters were workers, helping the other villagers in digging and harvesting. The winters were calmer and poorer. Their brother was mainly at home, because he is mentally retarded.     more

Hasiba

In Teocak (near Tuzla), there is a very old woman named Hasiba, who lives in an abandoned and ruined house. Her son was killed during the war. Eventhough she is too old to move easily, she prays five times a day. Our sister Azra S. visited Hasiba and bought her monthly supplies on behalf of Sadake: 25 kg of flour, 5 litres of oil, sugar, coffee, soup, pasta, meat and many other things. Azra promised the old woman that her two medicines, which she uses regularly, will also be bought. When Hasiba received the help, she was very happy. Azra says: "When we came there, she was really surprised and she couldn’t believe that someone brought something for her. Hasiba also prayed to Allah to reward everyone who donated even one mark for her."

With 50 € a month, Hasiba will be able to buy the basic supplies. Azra and a few other sisters have taken over the responsibility to buy the supplies and medicines for Hasiba with the help of "Sadake". You can also help with only a little sum, so that we will be able to send 50  € every month to Hasiba. May Allah be satisfied with our deeds.

VISITING THE TOPALOVIĆ FAMILY

On 28-12-2003, we paid a visit to Hajrudin and his family, who live in the village Vratnice near Visoko. The family’s evident living condition shocked the sisters who visited them and gave them our donation.

Hajrudin’s wife, who suffers from progressive arthritis, manages to do all the work her husband isn’t able to do, because he suffers from a severe eye damage. Hajrudin’s wife told us that she heard the prayers of her five-year-old daughter Leyla: "Dear Allah, let my father regain his sight".

It wasn’t easy to listen to the life story of this mother.

We noticed her swollen wrists and she told us that she doesn’t know what’s happening with her hands. “In the morning, my wrists are cold and they hurt a lot, until I warm them up a little”, she says.

Hajrudin was in the Bosnian Army during the war and he lost his twin brother in the aggression. But he doesn’t have any income or pension. They only have a goat. Sometimes, Hajrudin cuts wood for some people or digs in someone’s garden so that he can bring home at least a few marks. We noticed that all members of the family are inadequately clothed and that they suffer from malnutrition.

We gave them a donation of 200 KM and promised to help them in our project of sheep-raising.

The same night, the sisters who visited this family started collecting more help for these people. Some money and children’s clothes were collected. We will also try to provide an eye check for Hajrudin.

Do not pass by selo Vratnice without visiting the Topalovic family. We will, of course, continue helping this family, so you can send your donations to us by mail or on our bank account.
