The
Humanitarian Organisation "Sadake" has the objective to collect and
distribute charity in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The organisation concentrates on suffering individuals who are going through a difficult existential crisis and do
not receive any other help.
The
war in Bosnia and Herzegovina (during 1992-1995) took away many Bosnian
lives, dislocated a great number of families, ruined our country,
destructed its economy and brought people into a very difficult financial
situation. Such people aren’t taken care of. They have been
abandoned, because donations from other countries (which, at the time, had
not been directed adequately to those who need them the most) have mainly
stopped. It is our religious and moral duty to help these Bosnians. One of
the ways we can help them is in an organised manner, through the
Humanitarian Association "Sadake" (Eng. "Charity"). The
principles of this Association’s functioning has its roots in the
humanitarian activity named "5 Euros of charity", which is still
current, and insaAllah it will continue in the future. Muslim Bosnians from
all over the world started donating their money for "5 Euros of
charity", and in a short time a great number of humanitarian
activities have been financed with the help of this foundation.
Reports
on previous projects are available on many of our web sites, where people
began to agree on and carry out these humanitarian activities. A huge
number of people who are ready to help others with their money and other
material means have gathered around "Sadake" and humanitarian
help in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Bosnian
people from Bosnia, Slovenia, Serbia, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland,
Britain, Finland, Belgium, USA, Canada and Australia are a part of
"Sadake". Many young, talented and enthusiastic people contribute
to this big project, which will insaAllah bloom in the future. One of the
future plans of the Humanitarian Association "Sadake" is linking
our Internet sites, as well as co-operation with other interested Muslim
groups abroad. Hence, we believe that we should help poor people and not
leave them confused and hungry after so many difficult years.
"Sadake" collects small amounts of money and takes action
immediately. None of the donators are obligated to membership, nor do we
have lists of information on donators. Some of the principles of
"Sadake" are "whatever amount and whenever you can
donate", or "you should donate so that the left hand
doesn’t know what the right hand gives".
Therefore,
let’s help with a small contribution those who need our help, because
it’s fard (an obligation) and it’s the same for everyone. The
Association "Sadake" is registered in the official court in
Munchen, in spring 2003. It has its statute, regulated tax obligations and
an opened bank account. "Sadake e.V." functions in a transparent
way and its work reports are available to anyone interested.
